API Testing

SoapUI Pro is loaded with advanced technologies and features you won’t find in other web services testing tools. With an easy-to-use graphical interface and enterprise-class features, SoapUI allows you to rapidly create and execute automated functional tests. In a single test environment, SoapUI provides complete test coverage and supports all the standard protocols and technologies.

Don’t let the name fool you!

SoapUI has full functionality for testing REST APIs, including:

  • Mocking. Mocking lets you write Service Tests before the service is created, giving you the ability to add the tests to your automation environment during the development process. This is a very useful technique both for developers who are coding areas relying on APIs that haven’t been completed yet, and also for testers who are building their tests while coding is ongoing. Service Mocking is a core capability needed for Test Driven Development.
  • Discovery. The REST Discovery feature allows you to capture REST traffic by simply using the service through a browser or client. After recording, you can view the traffic log and filter it for traffic type according to your needs. You can also manually select groups of requests or single instances and convert them into services for use in your project. You can even use those services to create mock services.

Did you know we also have a certification program?

The SoapUI certification allows you to measure your proficiency with SoapUI by taking an online exam. Passing the exam makes you an officially Certified SoapUI User. As a Certified SoapUI User you have demonstrated your SoapUI knowledge and have set yourself apart as someone who has mastered the world’s most comprehensive API testing tool. You can get ready for the exam by signing up for one of our training programs.
